Announcements of conferences, workshops, schools…

Due to the large number of posts recently, there is currently a 3-4 week delay between posts being submitted and emails being sent to the mailing list. Please bear with us while we try to improve this.

In light of the Russian military offensive in Ukraine, we request that announcements relating to events, jobs and other activities associated with institutions supported by the Russian and Belarusian states are not posted to the Psi-k forum.

Registrations are now open for the EXTMOS Summer School From Molecules To Organic Electronics Materials. The school will be held at the Ettore Majorana Centre for Scientific Culture, located in the historical city of Erice, Italy, where three restored monasteries provide a lovely setting.

Participants should arrive 1 October, preferably not later than 8pm, at Palermo airport and the lectures will finish on the evening of 6 October.

The summer school is aimed at graduate students, post-docs, young researchers and anyone wishing to find out more about organic electronics. Lectures will be held in English, and the topic is “From Molecules to Organic Electronics Materials”.

The school will cover topics ranging from theory (quantum chemistry and ab initio calculations, dopant/host interactions at molecular level, atomic and coarse grained molecular dynamics, predictive mesoscopic multiscale modelling), experiment (charge and spin transport in pristine and doped organic semiconductors, processing, device fabrication), circuit design and market applications. Devices considered will include organic light emitiing diodes including those using thermally activated delayed fluorescence, organic photovoltaics, organic thin film transistors.
There will be hands-on sessions running the EXTMOS multiscale modelling package.

Speakers include
Frank Ortmann, Technical University Dresden
Johannes Gierschner, Madrid Institute for Advanced Studies
Guillaume Schweicher, University of Cambridge
David Beljonne, Yoann Olivier, University of Mons
