Dear all,

From the 19th-23rd July 2018, the Hermes Summer School 2018 will be taking place at Cumberland Lodge in Windsor Great Park. Hermes is a fantastic opportunity for first year PhD students and other early career researchers to get up to speed with the knowledge and skills required to make a significant contribution to materials science. The summer school will have a focus on effective science communication and materials modelling from the atomistic to the continuum length scales and will be an excellent chance for students to network with other young researchers from universities across the UK and the rest of the world.

The following speakers have been confirmed, with more soon to follow:
  • Prof. Matt Probert (University of York)
  • Prof. Craig Carter (MIT)
  • Prof. Adrian Sutton (Imperial College London)
  • Dr. Glenn Jones (Johnson Matthey)
  • Dr. Phil Hasnip (University of York)
  • Prof. Daniele Dini (Imperial College London)
  • Prof. Maria João Ramos (Universidade do Porto)
  • Piero Vitelli (Island 41)
  • Dr Jassel Majevadia (HSBC)

We look forward to seeing you there!
