The Department of Physics at the University of North Texas invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank with competitive startup, salary, and benefit packages, with a research focus in Condensed Matter Theory and Materials Modeling. Candidates are expected to develop and maintain an active, externally funded research program. Instructional roles include teaching undergraduate and graduate classes, as well as mentoring graduate students. Preference will be given to applicants whose expertise complements and integrates with ongoing departmental programs in condensed matter and materials theory, experiment, and simulation.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in physics or a closely related field, and demonstrate a commitment to teaching.

Review of applications will begin on December 14, 2020 and continue until the position is filled.
