Dear colleagues,

We have open position for a research engineer at the Materials Science group of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC). The project will be developed within the framework of the NOMAD Centre of Excellence (https://www.nomad-coe.eu/), which aims to bring together the expertise of the computational materials science community and the European High-Performance Computing centres to guide the development of future exascale systems.

The ideal candidate should have an MSc or PhD in computers science, engineering, physics, chemistry, materials science or related fields. The position requires experience in code development and scientific/parallel computing. Knowledge on debugging (C, C++, Fortran, MPI, OpenMP, OpenACC and/or CUDA) is desirable. Experience with ab initio electronic structure methods is not compulsory but it will be positively considered. Considering the projects we are involved in, we have the possibility to match our project needs and candidate interests when deciding on the tasks to be carried out.

The applications should include CV and motivation letter, and must be submitted through the BSC website: https://www.bsc.es/join-us/job-opportunities/34222casemre3

More details about the position are given on the application site. Informal inquires can be directly addressed to Dr Julio Gutiérrez Moreno (julio.gutierrez [at] bsc [dot] es).
