A postdoctoral position is available at Boston University in the group of Prof. Sahar Sharifzadeh. This position is part of the Center for Complex and Active Materials (CCAM), an NSF Materials Research Science and Engineering Center (MRSEC). The research will focus on understanding the electronic structure of bio-inspired systems with the goal of designing new active materials. Applicants should have experience with large-scale first-principles electronic structure theory and ability to work in a highly collaborative environment. Experience with organic or biological systems is preferred. The anticipated start date is September 1, 2021 but is negotiable.
