Back to Job listings...
Professor Guangfu Luo's group at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), Shenzhen, China, has been working on computational modeling of functional materials and development of computational methods based on first-principles calculations. Currently, several postdoc positions are immediately available. The projects involve computational modeling of the electronic properties, crystal defects, and dynamic processes of wide-bandgap semiconductors and clean-energy materials.
Applicants with a Ph.D. degree in condensed matter physics or a closely related field and a strong background in first-principles calculations are invited. The research will broadly develop computational modeling skills and have opportunities to work closely with superior experimental groups. The appointment is initially for one year and can be extended based on mutual agreement. Depending on qualification and performance, the salary is between 300,000 and 330,000 RMB/yr. Outstanding applicants may apply for a generous Peacock Plan Award from the Shenzhen government.
Interested applicants are encouraged to send a cover letter and CV to [email protected]. Review of applicants will begin immediately and continue until the positions are filled.
