Job announcements relevant to people interested in electronic structure calculations…

Due to the large number of posts recently, there is currently a delay of several weeks between posts being submitted and the corresponding emails being distributed to all users. Please bear with us while we try to improve this. In the meantime – and until this notice is removed – it would assist us considerably if you could submit only important and/or urgent posts and thus help to reduce the size of the mail queue. Under no circumstances should you resend posts multiple times when you find the emails are not distributed immediately.

In light of the Russian military offensive in Ukraine, we request that announcements relating to events, jobs and other activities associated with institutions supported by the Russian and Belarusian states are not posted to the Psi-k forum.

We are seeking one outstanding candidate for an open postdoc position. Special emphasis is placed on recruiting a talented, self-motivated candidate with a solid background in plasma, chemical reaction engineering and/or machine learning.

The successful candidate will work on applying density functional theory, microkinetic modeling, continuum transport modeling and machine learning techniques to facilitate the design of novel plasma catalysis. The successful candidate will develop data-driven multi-scale simulations (from atomic to continuum scale) for predicting the performance of plasma catalysis.

The candidate will work in the group of Assistant Professor Che at University of Massachusetts Lowell, in strong collaboration with experiments @ Prof. Wong and Prof. Trelles groups.

Requirements:

1. DFT simulations

2. Microkinetic modeling under plasma conditions

3. Machine learning and data analytics is a plus

4. Multi-physics simulation using COMSOL is a plus

If you meet the above requirements and currently are physically in the US, please provide by email (f[email protected]) a detailed resume and contact information for three referees in support of your application (as PDF files). Recruitment will be filled ASAP.
