Postdoc position in electron transport simulatio ... (No replies)
Back to Job listings...
A postdoc position is available in the Molecular Transport group in Prague to work on electron transport theory in molecular junctions, with an interest in machine learning. The group is part of the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. The position is funded by a research grant and can be extended up to 3 years (until the end of 2021) upon mutual agreement.
Applicants should demonstrate experience in electronic structure simulations using DFT, ideally in metal-molecule junctions. Knowledge of electron transport or machine learning is a big advantage. The applicant will work mostly independently but can also collaborate with a PhD student and a postdoc in the group. The ideal candidate will see this as an opportunity to develop a research program on conductance and electronic properties and also implement his/her ideas during the 3 years.
We offer a great working and scientific environment, participation in international conferences and the possibility to collaborate with experimental and theoretical groups. Several times a year there are bonuses based on performance and productivity. There are housing options via the Academy of Sciences.
Applicants should send a cover letter, CV and publication list, and the names and contact details of two references. Consideration of candidates will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. For more information, visit https://www.fzu.cz/~vazquez/ or contact [email protected]
