To strengthen our newly established team in the division “Materials In­for­ma­tics” at BAM Berlin we are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/d) in the field of materials science and engineering, natural or engineering sciences. The planned research is dedicated to ab initio based multi-scale simulations of thermo-chemo-mechanical coupling effects at planar defects in metallic alloys. This includes DFT calculations of surface and interface effects of nanoparticles. Novel approaches to describe these couplings will be developed, evaluated and promoted using the integrated development environment pyiron.
