Job announcements relevant to people interested in electronic structure calculations…

Due to the large number of posts recently, there is currently a delay of several weeks between posts being submitted and the corresponding emails being distributed to all users. Please bear with us while we try to improve this. In the meantime – and until this notice is removed – it would assist us considerably if you could submit only important and/or urgent posts and thus help to reduce the size of the mail queue. Under no circumstances should you resend posts multiple times when you find the emails are not distributed immediately.

In light of the Russian military offensive in Ukraine, we request that announcements relating to events, jobs and other activities associated with institutions supported by the Russian and Belarusian states are not posted to the Psi-k forum.

Conducting research for a changing society: This is what drives us at Forschungszentrum Jülich. As a member of the Helmholtz Association, we aim to tackle the grand societal challenges of our time and conduct research into the possibilities of a digitized society, a climate-friendly energy system, and a resource-efficient economy. Work together with around 6,400 employees in one of Europe’s biggest research centres and help us to shape change!

The Jülich Centre for Neutron Science (JCNS) develops and operates neutron scattering instruments at some of the best neutron sources worldwide. At the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Zentrum (MLZ) in Garching near Munich, the JCNS provides access to a suite of high performance neutron scattering instruments for scientists from universities and research institutions in Germany and throughout the world. Within the user program more than 1,000 scientists visit the MLZ every year to perform experiments in the physical, chemical, biological and materials sciences. In addition, the JCNS is actively pursuing a research program in the fields of Quantum Materials and Collective Phenomena, Soft Matter and Biophysics and Neutron Analytics for Energy Research.
