The Ceramic and Cement-based materials Group ( https://c2mgroup.org/ ) seeks a well-
motivated postdoc to join a highly multidisciplinary project funded by the EU (H2020-FET-
OPEN MIRACLE) which aims to design new concretes with radiative cooling capacity. In
particular, the candidate will work in the computational (atomistic) description of the coupling
of light with cementitious phases and how these materials can be tuned for enhancing their
radiative cooling efficiency.
The selected candidate will be hired by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the
duration of the appointment will be of 2 years. The preferred starting date will be April 202w.
The salary will be of approximately 35,000euros per year before taxes.
The candidate should demonstrate previous experience in atomistic simulations (ab-initio
and/or force field simulations). The following points are not required to apply, but they will be
considered in the evaluation process as convenient.
* Experience in cement-based materials and/or similar materials like clays and zeolites.
* Experience in phonons and thermal properties of materials (heat conductivity, figure of merit...)
* Previous knowledge on radiation-matter interactions.
