RMIT Europe is seeking for one postdoctoral researcher and two PhD students to work in the context of the ALCOAT project. We aim to apply molecular and continuum modelling to investigate new families of aluminium alloy coatings for protection of wind towers, ships and other structures exposed to sea water and atmosphere, and steel sheet products for automotive, building and home appliance industries. 

The candidates will work under the supervision of Dr. Ivan Cole in RMIT Europe and Dr. Pablo Ordejón in the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2), based in Barcelona (Spain). The students will get a double degree between the RMIT and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). The expected duration of the funding is 3.5 year, starting from next September.
