PhD Student Positions at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (USA)

PhD student positions are available in the Kanai research group at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). The group’s activities are primarily focused on the development and application of first-principles electronic structure methods, especially for studying excited state properties and non-equilibrium dynamics in condensed matter systems. Our recent method development efforts have centered on (1) all-electron NAO based GW/BSE and real-time TDDFT (RT-TDDFT) with FHI-aims code and (2) Planewave-pseudopotential based RT-TDDFT with Qb@ll and INQ codes.

See http://kanai.chem.unc.edu/Home.html for recent publications and more information.

The students may pursue a PhD degree either in Physical Chemistry or in Condensed Matter Physics, through

Department of Chemistry
