Dear colleagues,

A three year PhD position is now open for application at the Molecular Sciences Institute of Marseilles (ISM2), University of Aix-Marseille, France. The position is available from the 1st of October, 2022 for three years under the supervision of Professor Stéphane Humbel and Dr Denis Hagebaum-Reignier at the theoretical chemistry group (CTOM), Marseilles, France.

Title of the proposal : "Localized wave functions and aromaticity". This project deals with the study the electronic and magnetic properties of some non-Kekulean benzenoids using quantum chemistry methods (ab initio or DFT) and the characterization of their aromaticity.

The successful candidate should hold a Diploma or Master's degree in Physical Chemistry, Physics or Chemistry. Good knowledge of theoretical chemistry is required and practice in ab initio calculations and programming are advantageous.
