Materials Today is seeking an editorial team to oversee the launch and ongoing success of a new, open-access non-traditional research journal focusing on research data within materials science.

The aim of the new journal is to allow researchers to easily share their research data and the methods and the tools and techniques used to collect and process the data. It will also provide a forum to share and to educate the materials research community in best practice around data collection, sharing and re-use, as well as show the impact of and utilisation of the tools that can enable the future development, design and discovery of materials.

All of the publications in the new journal will be short format making it easy for researchers to share their work and ensure a fast turnaround in review. It will not publish original research papers. 

We are seeking motivated, mid-career researchers to take on an editorial role alongside their full-time research role. If you feel that you have the skills, interest and expertise in helping to shape this new journal please get in touch!
