Job announcements relevant to people interested in electronic structure calculations…

Due to the large number of posts recently, there is currently a delay of several weeks between posts being submitted and the corresponding emails being distributed to all users. Please bear with us while we try to improve this. In the meantime – and until this notice is removed – it would assist us considerably if you could submit only important and/or urgent posts and thus help to reduce the size of the mail queue. Under no circumstances should you resend posts multiple times when you find the emails are not distributed immediately.

In light of the Russian military offensive in Ukraine, we request that announcements relating to events, jobs and other activities associated with institutions supported by the Russian and Belarusian states are not posted to the Psi-k forum.

The groups of Barak Hirshberg at TAU and Vojtech Vlcek at UCSB have an open Postdoc position funded by the USA - Israel Binational Science Foundation (BSF) for two years.

The project will involve developing a new computational framework for describing exciton condensation in twisted bilayers of two-dimensional materials, combining stochastic electronic structure methods with bosonic path integral molecular dynamics.

Experience in developing and/or applying electronic structure methods, molecular dynamics simulations, or path integral simulations is an advantage.

The deadline for application is Oct. 1st, 2020 but we encourage suitable candidates to contact the two PIs as soon as possible. The position will be based in Tel Aviv with extended stays in Santa Barbara.

To apply, please send a cover letter, CV, and a list of publications to [email protected] and [email protected]. Please arrange for two recommendation letters to be sent directly to the PIs as well.
