The research will focus on computational design of Li- and Na-ion batteries and Mg- ion batteries.
The computational work is performed in close collaboration with experimental groups. 
 
Applicants must have a PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering, physics, or related
fields. 
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
1) Experience in using quantum mechanical programs (e.g., Gaussian, VASP)
2) Experience in atomistic simulations (e.g., Molecular dynamics simulations)
3) Experience in programming/scripting (e.g., Python, shell scripts, Fortran, C++)
4) Experience applying machine learning techniques
5) Experience writing scientific articles
6) Within 3 years of receiving PhD degree (required)
7) Good interpersonal skills
8) Good command of English

The position is available immediately and is initially for 1 year with possibly extension
upon mutual agreement.
