Chile and Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, under the grant ANID PIA ACT192023,
is actively recruiting a post-doctoral researcher in theoretical condensed matter physics. The
ACT192023, entitled “Light-Matter Interactions in Topological Nanomaterials: Towards
low-consumption Information Technology” is a joint theoretical-experimental effort to set
the basis for novel schemes of quantum computing in quantum materials such as topological
insulators. It is highly desirable for the candidate to possess proved research experience in at
least one of the following subjects: Graphene, Topological Materials, NV-Centers and
Quantum Optics. Experience with quantum field theory methods and/or ab-initio
calculations is highly desirable.

Through the Grant, a 12 month contract is guaranteed, starting in August 1 st , 2021. In
addition, a three year extension is possible, subject to the success of the candidate to apply
