A postdoctoral position is open at the theory facility of the Molecular Foundry, at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. The postdoc will work with Dr. Liang Tan, on first-principles calculations of the electronic/optical/thermal properties of nanoscale systems and quantum materials. This position will be funded for at least two years, and is available to start August 20, 2018 or later.

Experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable but not required: many-body perturbation theory, electron-phonon interactions, high performance scientific computing, nonlinear optics.

Candidates are expected to have a PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering, or other relevant discipline.
