Five PhD positions in driven quantum many-body systems
Starting date: June 2020.
Hamburg University, Nijmegen University and Uppsala University hereby declares five jointly supervised PhD positions to be open for application. The students will work in a research environment funded by an ERC starting grant, with focus on driven quantum many-body systems applied to solids. This involves the development and use of multi-configuration methods, such as Dynamical Mean Field Theory, for calculations of correlated electronic structures.
The applicant is expected to have a Masters degree (or similar) in Physics, Chemistry or Applied Mathematics. The application should include a statement of research interest, CV, certificates of exams, degrees and grades, a copy of the Masters thesis, or equivalent, and other relevant materials, if available.
