There is an opening for a postdoctoral researcher in the Molecular Science and Engineering Lab (http://railab.che.msstate.edu/) in Dave C. Swalm School of Chemical Engineering at Mississippi State University. This position is associated with NSF funded Center for Emergent Molecular Optoelectronics (CEMOs). The candidate is expected to perform computational research to understand electronic structure of organic semiconductors and organic/inorganic interfaces, and develop advanced computational tools for modeling photophysical processes.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, physics, or a related discipline. Experience in advanced electronic structure methods and programming experience is required. Experience in classical molecular dynamics simulations can be beneficial.

The postdoctoral associate position is a full-time, benefits-eligible 12-month basis appointment. The initial appointment is for one year with a possibility of extension based on the performance and the availability of funding.
