The DPG Spring Meeting of the Condensed Matter Division is the largest European physics conference (the second largest physics conference worldwide), covering all aspects of condensed matter and chemical physics, and materials science. Endorsed by Psik-k, we are running there a Symposium on Frontiers of Electronic-Structure Theory since many years with a special focus topic that changes from year to year.

Because of Corona, this year things are different, and the meeting is split into pieces. The Frontiers Symposium will be hosted by the Surface-Science Division, taking place virtually, March 1 to 4, 2021.

Our symposium is

"Frontiers of Electronic Structure Theory: Focus on Electron-Phonon Interactions".

The Invited Speakers are Nicole Benedek, Fabio Caruso, Ion Errea, and Xavier Gonze.

We invite you to submit a contributed paper. ABSTRACT SUBMISSION CLOSES very soon, i.e. 25 January 2021, 23:59 Central European Time.

More details and instructions on how to submit can be found at

https://surfacescience21.dpg-tagungen.de/programm/abstract?set_language=en

Please note: The focus topic of this symposium refers to the invited speakers. Contributed papers may well cover the whole range of electronic-structure theory and computations. There is also no restriction to or focus on surfaces.

Looking forward to seeing you there,

Claudia Draxl, Feliciano Giustino, and Matthias Scheffler
