Ansys UK is looking for a 6-12 month intern based in Cambridge. In this role, the Intern will collaborate with expert professionals to design and implement workflows to link atomistic to continuum simulation.

Key Duties and responsibilities:

Work on the implementation and validation of a multiscale materials modeling workflow starting from existing developments.

Investigate and document state-of-the-art, including testing existing software solutions.

Regularly present results and progress to internal stakeholders.

Work under the close supervision of a team member.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

A degree (or working towards a degree) in material science, physics, an engineering discipline, or a closely related subject.

Experience with Python (preferred), or other programming languages.

Basic experience and understanding of atomistic materials modelling (Density Functional Theory, Molecular Dynamics, Kinetic Monte Carlo, etc.)
