Two postdoc positions are available under the supervision of Dr. Sung Beom Cho from Virtual Engineering Center at Korea Institute of Ceramic Engineering and Technology. The postdoc researcher will be fully involved in either of the following two projects.

Project 1: Developing a theory on hydrovoltaic energy harvester and contact electrification at triboelectric nanogenerator. The applicants will conduct both DFT and multi-physics FEM modeling. Experience in multi-scale simulation is preferred but not necessary. The applicants will collaborate with the energy harvesting device groups in Korea University, Jeonbuk National University, and Dongguk University. A strong publication record is preferred.

Project 2: Developing a new crystal graph model for inverse design of materials using machine learning. The applicants will work on combining strategy for small experimental data and relatively large computational data. The experience on python is mandatory because the base code is written in Pytorch. The applicant will work in close collaboration with computer scientists at Chungbuk National University.

Theory codes: VASP, COMSOL, and Pytorch. CP2K is plus.
