Applications are invited for two PhD or postdoctoral positions in the field of (condensed-matter) theoretical chemistry. The positions are open at the Chair of Solid-State and Quantum Chemistry at RWTH Aachen University (Germany) and deal with the development of the LOBSTER programming suite for quantum-chemical bonding analysis (see also http://www.cohp.de) and solid-state theoretical chemistry in general.
The candidates should have an MSc or PhD degree in chemistry or physics, with a strong background in quantum chemistry. Also, excellent programming skills (C++, parallel programming) would be welcome, together with strong oral and written English skills. Knowledge of German is not required but would be greatly appreciated.
Interested candidates should apply by e-mailing a cover letter, a copy of their CV, a list of their accomplishments including university transcripts, two supporting letters, all bound into a single PDF file of less than 10 MB. Screening of applicants will start immediately and continue until the positions are filled.
