Two HPC positions at Trento University (No replies)

The University of Trento is opening two technical-research positions in High Performance
Computing (HPC) for its HCP Center. HPC@Trento is a medium-small cluster comprising CPUs
(roughly 2000 cores) and a growing GPU-based section. One is a junior position for candidates
with a recently obtained MSc (or equivalent proven experience), while the other is for a senior
(PostDoc or equivalent experience). The junior position has a net salary of 1800 EURO/month
and the senior one 2500. Salaries are tax exempt.
Both candidates shall contribute to the maintenance and management of the HPC center and
shall integrate with research groups exploiting it, with the possibility of both participating in
research and build a solid curriculum in HPC management.
The ideal candidate has a solid knowledge in some of the following fields:
*) Scientific computing programming;
*) Parallel programming (MPI & CUDA);
*) Management and optimization fo task scheduling;
*) Good knowledge of linux (CentOS, Ubuntu)
*) Knowledge of installation management tools (Ansible, Maas, ...)
*) Knowledge of containerization techniques and tools (Singularity, Docker ...)
*) Knowledge on data center technologies (storage, networking, etc. -- Lustre, Panasas,
Ceph, Swift, Infiniband, Omnipath, ...);
*) Good knowledge of English. Italian is not required, but its base knowledge is a plus
specially for the junior position.
