The  Department of Mathematical, Physical and Computer Science of Parma University
is opening a Tenure Track professorship  (RTD-B) in condensed matter theory.

Research activity:
The research activity will be in theoretical condensed matter physics. It will mostly focus on developing theoretical models for the coherent and incoherent dynamics of molecular nanomagnets and molecular spins in view of their applications to quantum technologies. The activity will require the design and interpretation of experiments based on various techniques, such as neutron spectroscopy, EPR and NMR. The outcome of these studies will consist of high impact publications, presentations at international conferences and participation to projects.

Teaching activity:
The teaching activity will include both basic General Physics courses and more advanced ones in the field of Physics of Matter, in any case compatible with the FIS/03 Sector. Teaching will be at the level of Bachelor, Master, or PhD.
Teaching may include lectures, tutorials, support in any other forms of student instruction, grading and evaluation of papers and evaluation of final exams, on the subjects and topics covered by the contract. Teaching for up to 120 hours is required, according to university regulations.
