Tenured Principal Investigator or tenure-track Junior Principal Investigator, Advanced Institute for Materials Research (AIMR), Tohoku University

We invite applications for one post: tenured Principal Investigator (Professor) or tenure-track Junior Principal Investigator (Associate Professor) who will be engaged in data science related to materials science at our institute, Advanced Institute for Materials Research (AIMR), Tohoku University. AIMR was established in 2007 as one of the WPI research centers and aims to lead materials research beyond conventional ideas with interdisciplinary approaches. Since 2012, AIMR has promoted collaboration between materials science and mathematics, and now the institute comprises five research groups: Materials Physics, Non-equilibrium Materials, Soft Materials, Device/System, and Mathematical Science. We welcome highly motivated candidates with an outstanding academic background and strong intention to participate in such an interdisciplinary research arena where people gather from a wide range of research fields.
