Job announcements relevant to people interested in electronic structure calculations…

Due to the large number of posts recently, there is currently a delay of several weeks between posts being submitted and the corresponding emails being distributed to all users. Please bear with us while we try to improve this. In the meantime – and until this notice is removed – it would assist us considerably if you could submit only important and/or urgent posts and thus help to reduce the size of the mail queue. Under no circumstances should you resend posts multiple times when you find the emails are not distributed immediately.

In light of the Russian military offensive in Ukraine, we request that announcements relating to events, jobs and other activities associated with institutions supported by the Russian and Belarusian states are not posted to the Psi-k forum.

In particular, we seek candidates with expertise in research areas such as quantum/classical molecular dynamics, ab-initio molecular dynamics, studies of phenomena between phases (gas-surface), photochemistry including multiscale modelling, quantum computing in chemical physics.

However, we will be happy to consider all applications where the researcher complements the competencies of the Quantum Mechanics Division and CEAA and meets high scientific standards.  We are looking for an established researcher (after 1-3 postdoctoral positions) who is eager to perform research and build an independent research group.

Demands:
- PhD in physics, chemistry, or a related field.
- Excellent scientific achievements in chemical physics/quantum chemistry. A track record of being the leading author (first author or corresponding author) is essential.
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
- Eagerness to perform research and build an independent research group.

Please send all applications and reference letters to [email protected] (please note in the title of the email the interest in position 1/Research Adjunct/CEAA).
