A call for a tenure-track associate professorship will be opened soon at the Department of Physics of the University of Trieste, Italy.

The position, officially named RTD-b, leads, after three-years and upon positive evaluation, to a permanent position as an associate professor.

The selected candidate is expected to carry research in theoretical and computational condensed matter physics (competition sector 02/B2, scientific sector FIS/03), employing atomistic modelling and numerical simulations and, possibly, high-performance computing and machine learning techniques. 

As the position involves teaching in undergraduate programs, a good command of the Italian language is required.
