Dassault Systemes BIOVIA is looking for a customer support scientist based at the Tokyo office.

BIOVIA, a brand within Dassault Systemes, is a global enterprise software company which offers the industry's only scientific informatics system that captures and enables more agile end-to-end scientific workflows, analytics and IP management to achieve better insights and outcomes from R&D. Our customer base includes the world's largest pharmaceutical, biotechnology and materials science companies as well as top universities worldwide.

We are looking for a technical individual with a strong Quantum Mechanics background.

This individual will be joining BIOVIA's Japan Technical Customer Support team responsible for providing support to customers in the Chemical, Consumer Packaged Goods, Oil and Gas and other related domains in the materials science space. This role involves working closely with our customers and partners within Japan in a consultative manner to provide installation, configuration, training and technical support services for our Materials Studio modeling and simulation software.

There is an additional role to this job if you are a programmer. We wish to use your programming skills to code some of the new functionality in Materials Studio software suite.  This is not a requirement but it is a plus to enrich your career.

The successful candidate will have to show that he is a team player, a good communicator and is self-driven to keep learning and provide satisfaction to the customer.

Your Key Success Factors:

At least a Masters degree in Materials Science, Physics/Physical Chemistry or related field.

Experience of working as an application scientist is a plus.

Knowledge of first principle calculation methods (theory and/or application). Knowledge of molecular mechanics calculation methods is a plus (theory and/or application).

Programming experience is preferred.

Knowledge of Materials Studio usage is a plus.

General knowledge of Windows and Linux systems.

Native Japanese speaker, conversational level of English is required.

Salary JPY 5,000,000 - JPY 11,000,000; Health insurance, Pension insurance, Unemployment insurance, Workers' accident compensation insurance, according to the statutory requirements in Japan.
