Several postdoctoral positions in computational discovery and design of new materials are open in the Professors Geoffroy Hautier's and Gian-Marco Rignanese’s groups at Université catholique de Louvain (UCL) in Belgium.

The positions are open for different projects: the development of new alloys, new Li-ion battery materials or new thermoelectrics. Starting dates range as early as January 2017 to October 2017 depending on the project.

Applicants must have a degree in materials science, chemistry or physics (or equivalent). Previous experience in ab initio computing and density functional theory (DFT) is required. Experience in Li-ion batteries, cluster expansion or python programming will be considered very positively. Our groups (http://perso.uclouvain.be/geoffroy.hautier/ and http://www.uclouvain.be/gian-marco.rignanese) offer an outstanding scientific environment with worldwide collaborations in the heart of Europe. We pursue our work in close collaboration with the Materials Project (http://www.materialsproject.org).

Applicants should send their application (motivation letter, CV, contact info for 3 references) by e-mail to Geoffroy Hautier ([email protected]).
