Several post-doctoral openings are available within the MaX (Materials design at the Exascale) European centre of Excellence  http://www.max-centre.eu/  

The work focuses on using advanced programming tools to transition SIESTA, one of the MaX flagship codes, to exascale architectures, and enable its use for high-throughput calculations under the AiiDA infrastructure. ​The ideal candidate is a highly qualified programmer, proficient in fortran, MPI/openMP, and python, with a PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, Computer Science or related disciplines.

The positions are framed within the spirit of the SIESTA-project, with a close collaboration between teams at the ICN2 (Pablo Ordejon, Barcelona), the ICMAB (Alberto García, Barcelona), and CIC nanoGUNE (Emilio Artacho, San Sebastian). There will be appointments for each of these sites.

The initial contract is for one year, that can be renewed up to three years upon mutual agreement.
