Senior Researcher for Computational Modelling of Tribology

Barcelona/Alicante, Spain (full-time)

 

Bytelab Solutions is a recently established startup company. It offers consultancy and services
related to molecular simulations and Materials Informatics in the field of Chemistry.
For our current project with one of the global leaders in the petrochemical sector, we are looking
for a Senior Researcher with experience in the computational modelling of tribology.

 

Requirements
- Experience in computational modelling in the field of organic fluids in bulk and
nanoconfinements, tribology, friction modifiers and surface interactions.
- Extensive knowledge about several of the following techniques: Molecular Dynamics
(must), Non-equilibrium Molecular Dynamics (must), Density Functional Theory, Monte
Carlo, Coarse Graining, Machine Learning.
- Vast experience with the LAMMPS code and knowledge of the potentials to be used for the
targeted simulations. Experience with other Molecular Simulation codes is a plus.
- MSc or PhD (preferred) in Chemistry, Physics or a related field.
- Ability to quickly learn about new topics, flexibility to change the work subjects according
to the current needs.
- Experience in working with industry, including the need of respecting tight deadlines.
