Scientific Software Developer in atomic-scale simulations:

The QuantumATK group is a team of world leading experts in atomic-scale simulations who are
developing the QuantumATK software.

Your role will be to implement and validate new methods and algorithms in QuantumATK for atomic scale simulations, such as molecular dynamics, Monte Carlo, and machine-learning techniques.
The tasks require experience with atomic-scale and materials modelling, high performance computing, good communication skills, and programming experience.

In your role, there will be a special focus on the design and development of state-of-the-art graphical user interfaces for the QuantumATK simulation software. Therefore, experience with full-stack web development is a plus. This includes experience with web frontend development including HTML, CSS, and javascript in UI frameworks like React or Vue, as well as experience with web backend development and server-client based applications.
Current team members have a degree in theoretical physics, computer science or chemistry.

We are looking for talented applicants with proven competences in the areas:

• Personal experience with atomic scale simulations and materials simulations, and ideally QuantumATK.
• Excellent general background in condensed matter physics and chemistry.
• Personal experience with user friendly GUI design.

Requirements:

• Excellent programming skills, in particular in Python and C++
• Good written and oral communication skills in English
