We are looking for a talented physical scientist or engineer to help further computational- and data-intensive computing at King's College London, UK.

Ideal candidates would have a PhD in a computational domain, such as condensed matter physics, deep learning, or theoretical chemistry, with computational skills capable of enabling and facilitating leading research projects. We are looking for a candidate with good development skills, the knowledge and ability to support the environments required to enable cutting-edge research, and the enthusiasm to assist PhD students and post-docs in their research, through workshops and providing one-to-one guidance.

The Research Software Engineer will support students and post-docs from across the Faculty of Natural and Mathematical Sciences, with particular emphasis on users of the Tier-2 HPC facility for materials and molecular modelling, called Thomas - the UK's leading infrastructure for computational research in this area.

This is a permanent post, with the opportunity to be involved with research at one of the UK's highest-ranking universities - learning and applying new computational technologies, supporting ground-breaking projects, and contributing to the development of the next generation of research software engineers.

This post will be offered on an indefinite contract.
