A position for a Research assistant professor is open in the research group of Prof. Adrienn Ruzsinszky with the earliest start in 2022, in the area of Condensed Matter Theory/Computational Materials Science.
Applicants should have expertise in the following areas: 1. Fundamentals of density functional theory (DFT)/many-body approximations, 2. Strong background in programming (preferably Python or Fortran), and 3. Computational work in DFT for molecules and solids. Expertise in machine learning is highly desirable.
The applicant must have a PhD degree in Physics, Computational Materials Science or Theoretical Chemistry. Depending on the stage of career, the applicant must also exhibit a strong publication record.
The salary will commensurate with experience and achievement. Funding is available from DOE resources. The position is renewable, depending upon performance. The position remains open until filled. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
