We are seeking to appoint a Research Associate (post-doctoral researcher) to work on the development of density-functional theory software for large-scale calculations and its applications to surfaces, thin films, 2D materials and vdW heterostructures.

This 2-year position will be in the groups of Prof Arash Mostofi and Prof Peter Haynes at Imperial College London.

Key responsibilities include: designing and implementing new data structures within the ONETEP code (http://www.onetep.org) to enable future software sustainability and new functionalities; developing new functionality in the ONETEP code to enable applications to complex surfaces and vdW heterostructures; demonstrating the capability of your developments through exemplar applications to materials of interest and in collaboration with experimental partners.
