The Department of Physics is seeking candidates in Quantum Computing at University of Nebraska at Omaha. NSF-EPSCoR grant “Emergent Quantum Materials and Technologies” support the position. The successful candidate must demonstrate prior evidence of relevant expertise, and/or an outstanding research record of accomplishment in a quantum materials, theoretical physics or Computer Science. Candidates without prior experience in quantum computing would provide a clear plan to transition into Quantum Computing. The mentorship of undergraduate student research is expected.
The initial appointment will be for one years, with a preferred start date in September 2021, though another date may be possible by agreement. Extensions of up to three years may be available.
