We invite applications for a postdoc position at the University of North Dakota on “thermoelectric and tribological properties of two-dimensional materials”. The initial appointment will be for one year and is full time and benefitted, with potential for renewal for a second year, pending annual review of performance and continued availability of funding.

Minimum Requirements: 1) Ph.D. in physics, materials science, or a related field, and 2) A record of peer-reviewed publications on thermoelectric and/or tribology.

Preferred Qualifications: 1) Experience in synthesis and characterization of thermoelectric materials and/or tribology-related materials, 2) Research experience using programs such as VASP, Boltztrap, ShengBTE, etc. and 3) Familiarity with programming (such as Python).
