Job announcements relevant to people interested in electronic structure calculations…
Due to the large number of posts recently, there is currently a delay of several weeks between posts being submitted and the corresponding emails being distributed to all users. Please bear with us while we try to improve this. In the meantime – and until this notice is removed – it would assist us considerably if you could submit only important and/or urgent posts and thus help to reduce the size of the mail queue. Under no circumstances should you resend posts multiple times when you find the emails are not distributed immediately.
In light of the Russian military offensive in Ukraine, we request that announcements relating to events, jobs and other activities associated with institutions supported by the Russian and Belarusian states are not posted to the Psi-k forum.

A postdoctoral scholarship in Molecular dynamics studies of doping of organic conjugated polymers is available at Linköping University, Sweden. The position is based at the Laboratory of Organic Electronics (LOE), http://www.liu.se/loe , belonging to the Department of Science and Technology, at the university’s Norrköping Campus. The LOE is renowned for its world-leading research on electronic and optical devices based on organic materials. Its primary theme involves the coupling of ions and electrons as signal carriers for applications in organic bioelectronics, printed electronics, organic energy, and electrochemical devices, and nanooptics. Currently, the research staff of the Laboratory includes more than 130 researchers (professors, senior and junior scientists and PhD students). LOE is also a partner in the Wallenberg Wood Science Center, which is a research center striving for scientific excellence with a focus on new materials from trees.
Background and duties:
Among all organic materials conducting polymers have become the material of choice for many electronic and bioelectronic devices including OLED, photovoltaic cells, energy storage devices, ionic and electrochemical transistors, and many others. The realisation of doped organic semiconductors that display truly stable electronic behaviour will constitute a step change in the field and benefit a wide range of emerging technologies from sustainable energy harvesting via organic photovoltaics and thermoelectrics to wearable electronics and bioelectronics. An experimental progress and development of the above materials and devices is difficult without fundamental understanding of the basic material properties and device functionalities. The main aim of the research project will be to computationally explore the morphological, structural, interfacial and electronic properties of doped conjugated polymer focussing on diffusion and drift of dopant molecules, glass transitions and stability of polymers at interfaces. Computational methods will primarily include all atomistic and coarse-grained molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. The theoretical studies will be performed in the Theory and Modelling group under supervision of Prof. Igor Zozoulenko with strong interaction with the experiment in the Surface Physics group headed by Prof. Mats Fahlman. The simulation and modelling performed in this project will guide the experimental activity in the inter-university project “Stable Doping of Organic Semiconductors” including Chalmers University of Technology and Linköping University.
