Job announcements relevant to people interested in electronic structure calculations…

Due to the large number of posts recently, there is currently a delay of several weeks between posts being submitted and the corresponding emails being distributed to all users. Please bear with us while we try to improve this. In the meantime – and until this notice is removed – it would assist us considerably if you could submit only important and/or urgent posts and thus help to reduce the size of the mail queue. Under no circumstances should you resend posts multiple times when you find the emails are not distributed immediately.

In light of the Russian military offensive in Ukraine, we request that announcements relating to events, jobs and other activities associated with institutions supported by the Russian and Belarusian states are not posted to the Psi-k forum.

Job title: Postdoctoral Research Associate

Computational Condensed Matter Physics Lab (CCMP Lab)

Department of Physics, Chungbuk National University (CBNU),

Cheongju, Chungbuk, Republic of Korea

More information in Lab homepage: https://sites.google.com/view/ccmp-lab/

CCMP Lab in CBNU, South Korea has openings for two postdoctoral fellows. Topics covering broad computational study of materials using first-principles electronic structure calculation methods will be treated, but the main focus would be on 1) the magnetism and spin dynamics in two-dimensional van der Waals materials and 2) the photoinduced structural dynamics and degradation in perovskite solar cells.

A PhD in physics, chemistry, materials science, or other related fields is required. A strong knowledge in atomistic simulations using first-principles methods (DFT and TDDFT) is desired.

The initial appointment lasts for a year but can be extended to two more years.

The successful applicants will be closely collaborated with experimental groups, BRL project groups for spin dynamics and CAP project groups for perovskite solar cells.

Interested and qualified candidates should send their CVs, which include the list of publications, to Prof. Junhyeok Bang ([email protected])
