The Catalysis Modelling Group (CMG), led by Prof. Notker Roesch at the A*STAR Institute of High Performance Computing (IHPC, http://www.ihpc.a-star.edu.sg/cmg/), is looking for new talent at the postdoctoral level.

CMG preferentially addresses application-oriented topics. Please also explain in detail your specific interest and experience that qualifies you for one of the following challenges (*):

1) You will examine heterogeneous catalytic reactions on metal catalyst surfaces using slab model strategies. Experience with such modelling is essential.

2) You will examine heterogeneous catalytic reactions on surfaces of nano-porous catalysts, mainly via QM/MM modelling, employing electronic structure methods. A track-record of successful modelling in the latter field is required.

A successful candidate

• Is able to work independently
• Is a good team player
• Shows excellent problem solving skills, preferentially in computational catalysis
• Has good technical writing skills and gives clear presentations
• Holds a recent PhD, obtained within the last 4 years,
  in Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering/Material Sciences/Physics
