Job announcements relevant to people interested in electronic structure calculations…

Due to the large number of posts recently, there is currently a delay of several weeks between posts being submitted and the corresponding emails being distributed to all users. Please bear with us while we try to improve this. In the meantime – and until this notice is removed – it would assist us considerably if you could submit only important and/or urgent posts and thus help to reduce the size of the mail queue. Under no circumstances should you resend posts multiple times when you find the emails are not distributed immediately.

In light of the Russian military offensive in Ukraine, we request that announcements relating to events, jobs and other activities associated with institutions supported by the Russian and Belarusian states are not posted to the Psi-k forum.

About Us: The Rutgers Center for Materials Theory invites applications for Postdoctoral Fellow positions in the research group led by Prof. Kristjan Haule. These positions are supported by an NSF Cyberinfrastructure for Sustained Scientific Innovation grant, in collaboration with Prof. Subhasish Mandal from West Virginia University.

Position Overview: We are seeking talented individuals for theoretical and computational postdoctoral positions. The primary focus will be on developing a high-throughput infrastructure for advanced approaches beyond Density Functional Theory (DFT), including the embedded Dynamical Mean Field Theory (DMFT) method. Additionally, you will work on extending the existing beyond-DFT database in JARVIS. The role will also involve creating transfer learning models to enhance existing databases by incorporating post-DFT corrections calculated for quantum materials.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in Density Functional Theory (DFT), model Hamiltonians, and related computational methods is required.

Strong collaboration skills, as the position involves close cooperation with other research groups at Rutgers University and NIST in both computational and theoretical modeling, as well as infrastructure development.

Application: To be considered for this position, please apply through the following link:
