A postdoctoral research position at Pavol Jozef Safarik University in Kosice, Slovakia has been opened. The position is funded for 34 months starting from September 2022.

Project title: Influence of thermoelectrical effects on spin-orbit torques in 2D van der Waals materials.

Applicant Profile: PhD in condensed matter physics, background in solid state physics theory, DFT.

Tasks: DFT electronic structure calculations, harmonic and anharmonic phonons, electron-phonon coupling, effective tight-binding modeling, transport properties calculations.

Role of applicant: Performing DFT calculations and theoretical investigation of thermoelectrical effects on spin-orbit torque.

Contract details: 34 months, 40 hours/week, please send your application and CV by email.
