The Quantum Transport Theory Group, led by Prof. Branislav K. Nikolic at the University of Delaware, invites applications for a postdoctoral position in theoretical and computational spintronics based on Dirac materials, such as topological insulators and graphene. Applicants are required to have a Ph.D. in theoretical condensed matter physics or related fields. Applicants with experience in density functional theory (especially via codes like VASP and OpenMX), maximally localized Wannier functions, nonequilibrium Green functions, nonequilibrium many-body perturbation theory techniques, and massively parallel scientific computing will be given priority in consideration. The group utilizes some of the fastest supercomputers in the world (such as TACC Stampede and SDSC Comet, as well as two smaller clusters located at the University of Delaware). Applicants should provide a Curriculum Vitae, which includes a list of publications and at least three references, as well as a statement of research interest. The position is initially for one year, starting January 2016, with possible extensions. Screening of applicants will start immediately.
