Dear Colleagues:
A postdoctoral position in density functional theory (DFT) + dynamical mean-field theory (DMFT) method is immediately available to develop a deeper understanding of strongly correlated materials. The position is to be held in the Department of Physics & Astronomy in the computational quantum materials group at West Virginia University (WVU) led by Subhasish Mandal.
Experience with either strongly correlated or topological materials using first principles methods is necessary and a background in DMFT is highly desirable. A Ph.D. in Physics or Materials Science is required and experience with programming (such as Python and Fortran or C++) is expected. Candidates with prior experience in DMFT would be given preference.
This position is full-time, benefits-eligible, and offered with the standard NSF salary. The initial appointment is for one year, which can be renewed for the 2nd year depending on mutual agreement and funding availability.
