Postdoctoral position in modelling fractional to ... (1 reply)
I would like to highlight once more the opportunity for a postdoc to join an exciting project on fractional topological insulators. The project is based on DMRG methods and involves travel within an international collaboration. The position is initially remunerated at £32,958/annum. The deadline for this opening is coming up shortly, on May 4th.

We invite applications for a postdoctoral position in the Functional Materials Group at the University of Kent. We are looking for candidates with enthusiasm for numerical simulations to join an EPSRC funded research project.
In this project, we will investigate the equilibrium and non-equilibrium many-body physics arising in time-reversal invariant topological band structures based on density matrix renormalisation group methods. The project also aims to explore new directions for realising fractional topological orders in layered two-dimensional materials. Funds are available to visit our international project partner Prof. Frank Pollmann at the Technical University Munich.
This position is available for 18 months starting from September 2017 (or shortly thereafter). Candidates in the final stages of completing their PhD are strongly encouraged to apply. For further details, see http://bit.ly/FTIpostdoc17.
The opening closes on May 4th.
