Job announcements relevant to people interested in electronic structure calculations…
Due to the large number of posts recently, there is currently a delay of several weeks between posts being submitted and the corresponding emails being distributed to all users. Please bear with us while we try to improve this. In the meantime – and until this notice is removed – it would assist us considerably if you could submit only important and/or urgent posts and thus help to reduce the size of the mail queue. Under no circumstances should you resend posts multiple times when you find the emails are not distributed immediately.
In light of the Russian military offensive in Ukraine, we request that announcements relating to events, jobs and other activities associated with institutions supported by the Russian and Belarusian states are not posted to the Psi-k forum.

Back to Job listings...
A 1.5 year PostDoc Position is available at ENS de Lyon, France in the group of Ph. Sautet. This position is sustained by an ANR project SHAPES which aims at the development of eco-efficient processes for the synthesis of highly valuable diamine monomers. It gathers several partners in catalysis, spectroscopy and modelling (Solvay, E2P2L,UCCS-Lille, ENS-Lyon and LCS-Caen). In conjunction with the experimental studies, the catalyst structure and the reaction mechanism will be investigated using the Density Functional Theory (DFT) with a strong emphasize on the metal/support interaction.
Applicant
The successful applicant is expected to have strong background in physical chemistry and strong interest in the use of computational modeling techniques for chemical reactivity and catalysis. A PhD in theoretical chemistry degree is required. The PostDoc will be supported for 1.5 year with a net salary of around 2000€/month, possibly higher depending on the working experience.
