A full-time postdoctoral research associate position is open in the Yue Research Group led by Prof. Shuwen Yue in the Robert F. Smith School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Cornell University, located in Ithaca, NY, USA.
The selected candidate will engage in innovative research applying molecular simulation and machine learning to advance understanding of reactions at aqueous interfaces and physics-informed model development. A PhD in chemical engineering, chemistry, material science, physics or related field is required, along with a proven track record of conducting and publishing research in molecular simulation and first principles modeling. Strong preference will be given for candidates skilled in machine learning/data science. The candidate will gain extensive experience in mentoring students and collaborate with leading experimental research groups. More information on the group can be found at yuegroup.cbe.cornell.edu.
Candidates are encouraged to apply for the Schmidt AI in Science postdoctoral fellowship at Cornell. This program supports postdocs with a variety of research, training, and learning opportunities to apply AI tools to their scientific domain. Postdocs will also become part of a global network of Schmidt Fellows and participate in annual Schmidt Science conferences. More information about the fellowship can be found here:
